I Am Now A Full-Time Dad

So, it’s been a little more than week that I’ve quit my job to stay home and take care of my son. To be honest, taking care of him has been the hardest job I’ve ever done. Needless to say, I haven’t been training much, but I do hope to start soon. I’ve been taking him on walks and in between I would do sets for him. He seemed entertained at first, but the last couple times, he wasn’t.

I also started the second animal set of the Cho Family System, the tiger claw set. I’ve learned the first 18 moves so far. Little by little. Sifu said he’ll really only be here in town for another 2 years, or less. I just want to absorb as much as I can.

If things go my way, I want to start training more in 2026 or sooner. My ideal schedule would be something like this: Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings BJJ, Tuesday and Thursday Muay Thai, Saturday Kendo, and Sunday Kung Fu. That’s like training full time. But since I’m not working, maybe I can make it happen.

I have been missing Kendo. Thinking of returning and calling myself the prodigal kendoka.

I have a seminar in October. A bit nervous but I’ve done worse. I can do it.
